If pursuing a certain career path isn’t challenging enough, try to do it during a Pandemic! Here at The Leadership Lab, we believe in meeting challenges and demands head-on, and we aim to not only help others meet their demands but also learn to thrive in the current environment.
The pandemic has shifted the course of businesses locally and globally. To not get left behind, we must learn to adapt to the environment in regards to current demands and criteria.
How can we learn to evolve and thrive with these changes? It can be overwhelming to think of it on a large scale, so let’s break it down.
List what changes have occurred or what new developments will need to occur within your desired field. Once you have made that list, see if any of those changes also have simple solutions.
Example: Change = social distance requirements and/or mask requirements in the office place.
Solution = asking potential employers if there is work that can be done remotely.
Take the time to explore other paths. Don’t write this one off! Even if you’ve made steady progress in one direction, analyze the future vision. If it has changed in any way during recent months, or in regards to the Pandemic, you can still get on a path that will lead you to your desired success. The key is to do this without giving up on your dreams and goals (see Step 3).
Goals, goals, goals!!! Write down what goals you have and put them somewhere you can see! The power of seeing your goals daily helps to keep the motivation alive, even when things don’t always feel smooth. If you don’t complete every goal on your list, that does NOT mean you are a failure. It just means you dream big and there is still more work to be done!
We want you to succeed, and not only do we want you to, we truly believe it’s possible. If you feel like you could use some additional coaching to meet your career goals, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
